OSSAKLIN® DUO is a blend of two polymeric quaternary ammonium compounds and contains:

Dimethylamine–epichlorohydrin copolymer and dichloride of poly[2-hydroxyethylene(dimethylammonium)ethylene(dimethylammonium)methylene]. This synergistic blend enables effective performance as an algaecide, bactericide, fungicide, and molluscicide.

When used over extended periods or at higher concentrations, it exhibits biocidal properties similar to first-generation quaternary compounds, acting as a bactericide, fungicide, and algaecide. This occurs through the cationic disruption of the cell membrane of microorganisms, leading to their death.
